The people I photograph and the moments I get to share, are what I love most about Photography!

Jodie a photographer is standing posing with her camera, in the ehart of Manchester, UK

How I got here: I’ve worked as a photographer since 2019 but the passion goes back much further, since studying Photography in college to studying Film Production at University, I always feel at home with a camera in my hands. It’s been an interesting journey so far, meeting lots of new people and it is THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!

My Photography style: I love the golden hour, playing with shadows and light and colour. A big part of my job is looking for the perfect location for a photograph to suit my client’s needs, the field full of wildflowers, a cute café, a beautiful lake in a park and more.

But more importantly is the emotion, I value this above everything and pride myself on creating a relaxed and fun environment for you to have your photo taken, so you have gorgeous photos that showcase your business or photos that you can treasure forever of you, your partner, friends and family.

My Personality: I don't want you to see me as just your ‘photographer’. I want you to see me as your cheerleader and friend. I’m always here to answer questions, and give you tips so you’ll have the best time ever on your photoshoot or on your wedding day!

My favourite things: My cat Dorothy, she’s a rescue and I love that she is my daily alarm clock, riding my bike, getting lost in good music whether that’s listening on my headphones or going to a gig, being out in nature, travelling, vintage fashion/homewares and going out for meals is a real treat! And, of course, photography – it’s the creative challenge of capturing the look of a scene that I love and making connections with the people in the frame.

CREATIVE. JOYFUL. INCLUSIVE

What to expect on a photoshoot:

  • A welcoming and friendly atmosphere

  • A positive space to be your authentic self

  • Kindness and understanding, as I know how nerve-wracking it can be to have your photo taken

  • Relaxed and candid photos of you, your partner that you will treasure for years to come, and business photos that will help you stand out from the crowd.

  • A photographer that is inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community, all are welcome here.

A bit more about me in photos:

  • I love taking photos of everyday things, days out and I’m really into film photography at the moment

  • Going out for food is my favourite pastime and trying new foods

  • I love to travel, my most recent trip was to Copenhagen

  • I love animals and recently visited The Donkey Sanctuary which was wonderful!

"I really enjoyed my portrait shoot and the photos are beautiful! I was nervous about having my photo taken but this felt more like meeting a friend for a coffee and a chat; you’re very talented Jodie!".
